We just drove through the painted desert and petrified forest. The painted desert was so pretty. All different colors of stone and small plateaus.

The petrified forest was the real mind blower for me. When u hear the name u think its an actual forest with standing trees. But in reality it's the desert with chunks of tree that have turned to stone. Over 225 million years ago the trees got buried and because of the minerals in the sand the logs crystallized. At first glance they look like normal logs, but when u touch it it's rock!!!!! Crazy.
The rv is so awesome! Hef is driving and we have all the windows down. The views are indescribable.

Also, every few miles there are these ginormous dinosaurs. We have no idea why but we love them!

Well hello followers. I am a virgin blogger and definitely a virgin RV-er. We have taken the U.S by storm! Tennessee was more than any of us were prepared for, especially since it was our first night. New Orleans was a bit of a cultural experience that we weren't really expecting either. We all shared the local cuisine of craw dads, gumbo, and fried gator. We loved the huge three dollar beers and hurricanes that you could walk down the street with, but got a large dose of stripper phobia by the end of the night. The dueling pianos completed the night. The two ladies we saw just killed it and added another count to our country roads tally. Driving has been ALOT easier than i had thought it would be. Everyone is taking care of their share and rocking out to some serious backstreet boys and boys to men....don't judge us. But the non sleeping portion has definitely turned us a bit delirious by the time we finally got to Amarillo. The Cadillac ranch was cool but quite random since we still cant figure out the reason as to why it exists. But it is awesome to see all the randomness of the United States, as you can see with our Jurassic encounter. The weather the whole way was a bit intense as well, since it would be pouring rain on the RV but there would be beautiful sunshine 3 miles down the road. We saw the most beautiful rainbow, which has to mean good karma for the rest of the trip. We are retiring to Mollies astronomy tips, apparently shes already spotted the milky way...which im pretty sure is just a cloud. goodnight from Arizona...tomorrow the painted desert and the petrified forest
